Overview

The vehicle adaptation section lists the more commonly used vehicle adaptations.  We acknowledge there is a wide range of adaptations.  These range from basic vehicle adaptations which may be fitted to standard vehicles and to the more technologically advanced and sophisticated controls for drivers with complex needs. The vehicle adaptations listed in this section are the more commonly used and are generally fitted to standard production cars.  

Most driver adaptations are fitted to a vehicle with automatic transmission.

Where the adaptation is identified as being relevant to a specific medical condition it is strongly recommended that you consult appropriate specialists regarding the suitability to the driver of a vehicle adaptation or modification.  This may include:
